Myofascial Release Therapy

Myofascial Release Therapy MFR is the perfect way to address everyday aches, pains and stress, helping you to get moving again. Myofascial Release Therapy (MRT) is a gentle hands on, soft tissue technique. Unlike most massage techniques, no oils are used on your skin. The Therapist uses gentle pressure to slowly stretch and release tension held in your fascia (connective tissue), it is often considered the yoga of bodywork. The sessions can leave your body feeling feather light and more flexible.

MFR can also be an effective tool for managing chronic or persist pain from your previous injuries, your poor postural habits or health conditions, such as:

TMJ (jaw pain, teeth grinding)

Kathy may provide you with advice on ergonomics changes in your environment, posture and movement adjustments, yoga based exercises and self myofascial release techniques.

Your investment in your wellbeing is as follows:

$110   =   Initial assessment (approx 1hr 15min)

$110   =   Extended follow up session (approx 1hr 15min)

$95   =   Standard follow up (up to 1 hour)

$75   =   Short follow up (up to 45 min)

If you have long standing discomfort or restrictions of movement, it recommended that you have a minimum of 3 sessions to allow your body to respond to the MRT. 

Myofascial Release Therapy and MLD can be combined in a session depending on your needs.
